Employee Bios Lacresha Hall, M.D - Founder/CEO
Dr. Hall is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child, Adolescent, Adult & Forensic psychiatry and specializes in the treatment of substance abuse. "My desire is to empower women through my gift of education and knowledge of human behavior. Through my experience in dealing with women's issues one of my main goals is to help women find their independence and their voice as they develop into the women that God has intended them to be." Shannon has a bachelor's degree in Zoology and is a Certified Addiciton Professional. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from NSU and is progressing through Florida Certification Board's continuum. "It is exciting to be a part of a woman's journey through recovery. Nothing makes me happier than working with women. Recovery from alcoholism and addiction has been a gift from God. One of the important aspects of my recovery was to change people, places, and things. I hope to facilitate these by fostering an environment at the Hallway of Life Recovery Center, Inc that promotes safety, structure, autonomy, and support. I want to exemplify that recovery from the hopeless state of addiction is possible by working the 12 step program." E-mail: shannonhoots@hallwayoflife.com Clara Colon, M.S, CAP, ICADC - Clara has over 20 years experience working in the field of substance abuse and addiction as both a clinician and independent trainer. She has experience with working with diverse popualtions and has spearheaded several projects focusing on substance abuse in the Latino/Hispanic polpulations receiving numerous recognitions for her efforts. Clara uses various recovery systems in-group; cognitive restructuring and motivational enhancement therapy. Clara also uses other therapeutic tools such as meditation, music and inspirational readings to engage client's in groups. At Hallway of Life Clara plans to help residents build their leadership and life skills so that they can can make positive contributions to the their Annie Johnston, M.S, ADTR - Meditative Arts Annie is a member of the Academy of Dance/Movement Therapists’ since 1988. She has worked as a movement and verbal therapist for the last 18 years. Former Wellness Coordinator at The Watershed Treatment Programs, she currently works as a Bereavement Counselor for Hospice of Palm Beach County’s John J. Brogan Horizons Bereavement Center.
